Early morning in Portsmouth

I have by the way added some of our very favorite websites and blogs down on the sidebar to the right. There are so many pages out there to read but these are some of them that I/we always get back to to find a good style, good vibes and plenty of inspiration. Will add up with some additional sites in the next few days.

Beauty of the sea

Still overwhelmed by the sudden encounter of a large (around 7-8 meters long) female humpback whale and her calf. They played around our boat for 3-4 minutes before they took off underwater. Unbelievable creatures, they seem so harmonic and peaceful in their slow motion, their steady breathing through the blowholes and the surreal size of their beautiful bodies. Next time I'll try have a look at them from underneath the surface.

A hot bath

Leaving towards Dominica now so no time for much updates but here's a sneak peak of our wonderful day in Soufriere the other day. We had a shower and bath in hot water coming out of the volcano, was amazing!

Morning trek

We've been out trekking in a rainforest all morning, swam in a natural hot mineral bath made by a waterfall and got pain and bruised by all that walking up and down the volcanic mountains but more about all that later. We're just crossing the channel between St Lucia and Martinique and if we arrive in a moderately early time I might have some energy left to show you some pics from today and some other interesting things we've been up to these past ten days. Laters.

Misty night

Arriving to the volcanic Pitons of St Lucia. Rain is hanging thick over the mountains.

Reborn

Oh man have we got spoiled here by Buccament Bay resort these last days. I mean.. seriously, extraordinarily, five star spoilt and pampered to the max. We've had such an amazing time and we feel like newborn again. Relaxed, fulfilled, happy and energized. Will get back to you with more photos from this glorious place shortly. We'll now be leaving up North again and will make several stops along the way, follow our track on the Spotwalla chart if you'd like.

Lounging continues

Sporting my new Ralph Lauren swimsuit that my man got me the other week.. you like?

Early morning

Fruits for breakfast, almost like on the boat.

Hobie Cat sailing on the schedule today.

Boat in a pool

Once upon a time, one early morning in Ibiza right after a hard night at Cocoon-Amnesia, one of our very dear friends invited us to put our boat in his pool. I don't think I can describe neither the moment or the actuality of the story for you all out there but it was a good night, boat in a pool or not. This photo from tonight is for you Sean. Consider it another happy birthday greeting. Looking very much forward to have you with us in St Barts after the summer for more madness.

This resort we arrived to btw, is beyond insane as well. Absolutely fantastic place and Caos looks damn good being the only boat anchored in the private bay just outside of our villa, don't you think? M A G I C O.

Our home for the weekend

So the family has left home and Alex and I are all by ourselves again. To start off the weekend we have just arrived to the ridiculously beautiful Buccament Bay on the SW coast of St Vincent and its Buccament Bay resort. There is definitely something special with arriving to a five star resort from the sea and not by plane and road. Looking forward to a weekend full of relaxation, chilling by the beach, windsurfing, eating, maybe sailing a hobie cat and eating some more..

Happy weekend

Five more weeks to go before my own sister arrives in the Carib, luckily I've got Alex's here in the meanwhile. Cocktails on the beautiful Young Island, St Vincent tonight.

Hello guys, If you haven't noticed the new text in the comments form, here goes a part of it:

"...No anonymous comments will be accepted. If you for some reason can't sign with your real name, then make up one. Please use the same name/pseudonym every time you comment...."

This means: Please do not write anonymous comments, they will all be deleted, both the positive and the negative ones. It can't be that hard to add your name, can it? We're quite open and personal in this blog, so we do also prefer to communicate with real people, no anonymous, people who present themselves with a name and hopefully also a link to their own website/blog if there is one.

Thanks for your understanding.

Gingerbread

Besides the local pizzeria which we've now visited like 2, 3, 4 times, this might be the best restaurant in Bequia. Gingerbread is located on the beach of Admiralty Bay and offers excellent service, great Caribbean/Indian food, some good French wines and a beautiful view over the bay from the terrace upstairs.

Postcard from Bequia

The sun's finally back with us.

P.s: Don't forget to friend us on Facebook to take part of our latest updates and photos from our travels.

Peaceful days

Having some good and relaxing times here with Alex family, despite all the rain. Bequia is truly a beautiful island, glad to finally have the chance to discover it.
