Masts brake all the time, you would think that they would have backup on vital equipment so they could stay in the race. A friend of mine I race with makes masts and other parts for these world racers. I keep asking him to get me on one. Yes it would be an amazing adrenalin rush.

I agree with Jon regarding the calendar. Please alternate shots of Taru and interesting sailboats that you encounter like today's pic. At December I will know which is more pleasing eye candy. Why not pay for the trip? Best to you both, keep posting, the quality is exquisite.

I happen to be following your round the world preparations since some time now. congratulations for your achievement!
Funny enough I am a professional project manager living in France and I have run this "PRESIDENT" campaign for skipper Jean le cam and Bruno Garcia in the round the world race "Barcelona World Race" that left barcelona on dec 31st 2010. The boat is now waiting for insurance instructions and a cargo ship to bring her back to france.
