From anchor to dock
Slowly getting used to being tied to land again. Cleaning out, washing lines, doing laundry, filling up fridge, organizing storage, checking surroundings, killing mosquitos. Shall soon be back to normal on the blog again.
Perhaps you should consider to extend your forestay a little bit so the mast gets more rake. On the picture it looks like it is too much forward. More rake, to these kind of boats, will improve sailing and the way the rudder feels. Good luck with your journey

This boat was designed by Halsey Herreshoff with a positive rake of 2% meaning the mast leans forward. You also probably notice that the mast is far more aft than on most boats, therefore it isn't a good idea to rake the mast more aft as it will only increase weather helm which we already have a problem with.
