I'd like to live on a boat at some point. I'm curious about how big your fuel tank is since you mention you ran out. Also, in a past post you talked about how much water from your fresh water tanks you should use on a passage. Do you happen to know how much you used on this passage?
Thank you,
Shelly in Colorado
Glad to see you made it safe and sound. Miami is great but you should of stopped at Key West. You could see things there that you will not see anywhere else! lol
The video is super, someone has serious editing talent.

You make me think after every video. Great music, great footage. If you come to Australia especially Cairns in the north we'll take you to places that will make you think as well.
Pretty good stuff. The bikini is far too big though ;-)
Wow, you ran out of fuel...in only a couple days of motoring??? REALLY? You must have a really small fuel capacity. How were you planning to cross the Pacific with so little fuel?
Taru,
You have a great eye for producing your videos and photography. I wish I had that talent, if I tried to do the same thing it would look like a train wreck in film....hahaha
Glad your two are well, I would like to hear some off the rational from Alex about running out of fuel, etc. I am not criticizing, for you two have covered ,many miles safely,
Best,
Sean
Welcome to the New World! About time for that road trip! Now if you want to ride horses among sun baked hills go to Colorado. And if you want your brains baked out, go to Las Vegas. But if you want to see moose, bears, cowboys and real mountains come to Wyoming!
Nice video. Captures the pace of a long passage very well. One suggestion. Being a guy I never tire of seeing you in a bikini, but have pity on all the ladies that visit this site. After all Alex is a hulk--- get him to take his shirt off!
I'm not surprised that Alex has not bothered to reply to the "running out of fuel" question. Very few sailboats carry enough fuel to cross oceans. Older designs were built with small "axillary" engines and consequently small fuel capacity. Engines were primarily used to maneuver in and out of harbor.
The "Mom and Pop" cruiser has caused a trend towards larger engines and larger fuel capacity with the tendency to "turn the key" once the boat speed drops below 4kts. Any sailor worth his salt will realize that his engine is a backup means of propulsion. Sailors like D. Street and the Pardys' have boats without engines. Its why its called a "sailboat".
Welcome to the USA lady!! We are a hop skip and a jump away in New Orleans. I hope your time is amazing and the area stays hurricane free.

Nice video!!! What is the name of the soundtrack?
I sure like to see the sailing life. Seas, life aboard ship, course taken, etc.
I agree, the bikinis are way too big! For us landlocked old men, we sure do like'm.
Your music is great.
And, from Minnesota, I sur elike to see sailing rather than one more port and dinner or shopping.
Keep it up. Been following you two since early in the Med.

During our 22 day crossing of the pacific, we motored a total of 4 days when totally becalmed. We still arrived Hiva Oa with half a tank that got us to Tahiti. Being able to motor yourself out of trouble is the difference between competence and incompetence. Incredible Hull is likely the latter.
Your video editing and shooting skills are out of this world amazing!!! I didn't want the video to end. LOVED the dolphins and bird. The sunsets were spectacular. So sad we missed each other in Florida. Would have loved to have bought you a drink!
Beautiful video, I would love to do what you and Alex are doing. I love how humbling the sea can be and how free it can make you feel when you are out there with nothing else in sight.
I absolutely loved it! Gorgeous all of it :)
So cool. It must be scary at times to only be surrounded by the ocean and sea not knowing whats ahead. You guys are living my fantasy. We done :)
I hope you enjoyed Miami! my home town =) I am inlove with the quality of your photos and video, what camera do you use???? i need to get it.

I echo Stephanie's question - what camera/equipment do you use for your videos?
Thank you everyone!
We're using a Canon 5D markII
Love the new vid...
I agree with McBuster
The bikinis are way too big!
Is it time for the topless dip in the big blue....If done it the correct lighting could be very innocent...
Who would vote for one of those sexy swim vids...
What was the soundtrack? Gotta find it on spotify!
love the videos. must be so incredibly peaceful out there on your own.
