Awe, so sad to hear how they are treated there. I like you, love my furry friends and would love to have them rest near me. In Hawaii, there are homeless cats everywhere, we always buy bags of cat food for them. We were told by a lady who showed up to feed them, that people can't afford to keep them anymore so they just go to a park and dump them. So sad.
Dog?? Where??? What dog?? :-)
You have very pretty feet.
Talk about badly treated dogs, you should come to Thailand. They say its due to the Buddhist culture ... I'm not so sure?
Same thing when I would visit Brasil. Most of the people would treat the stray dogs so badly. I saved all the scraps from the family I was staying with and fed the dogs. They thought I was crazy, but when ever I went out for I walk I had a pack of stray doggies following me just looking for a little love...
Yes, the feet ... Emm ... Of course :-)
Taru, I like your statement, that all things have their own reason. Not to judge them, but to make a change whenever it's possible. I love the way, you assume the Occurences on your way and how you comment them.
You may find it interesting to know that this is where the phrase "you lucky dog" comes from.
It is not because slavery that people treat bad the dogs. Not sure what is the cause. It may be poverty, lack of education, of compassion and of understanding. I come from a country like this. But now I live in a different type of country, not poor, with no animals on the street. I like that, but I know that in this time millions of pets are abandoned in the shelters by these not poor and more educated people. They are euthanized after a while, as there are not enough people that want to adopt orphan pets.
So, from my point of view, the destiny of our pets is not that good in either types of societies. There are few exceptions, but if you look at the numbers, it is terrifying to see that the vast majority of them have a very short and painful life.
