Hope you feel better! Stay safe you two
I began having pain in my feet when I stopped wearing high heels and started wearing flat sandals once moving onto our boat. I don't have the bumps that you have though, so you should definitely have it looked at. Hope your feet feel better soon! In the meantime, be grateful that you were able to find a bottle of cure-all - wine is the answer to so many problems, isn't it?
True, nothing quite like the temporary amnesia one gets from a couple glasses of wine.
Could be a neuroma - but definitely have it looked at.
Surely it is Gout ;-O
If it appeared suddenly, it may be bursitis of the ankle. (I'm not a doc, but experienced it myself.) Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Sorry about your pain Taru. As someone with rheumatoid arthritis, I know all about swellings coming from nowhere. As a previous poster mentioned, Morten's Neuroma is a possibility, but that generally wouldn't appear on the ankle. Bursitis and various forms of arthritis are also possibilities. I hope it is minor and that you can see a doctor soon.
Feel better soon! I'm dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck, not fun!!!
Thank you all for great advice and links!
Hi I also had foot pain, but mine was when I stopped wearing flat shoes and started wearing heels again after a year onboard wearing soft shoes like thomgs which absorb impact. I think that when you are onboard for a long time your calf muscles take up a lot of the motion control and you are also not exposed to very hard surfaces such as concrete.
Takes time to adjust but I found a cheap orthotic from the Pharmacy made a big difference. Hope this helps.
You take such beautiful photos normally, and it sometimes feels like looking in a high end travel magazine. But I for one would love to see more of these, more "real" and spontaneous images from your every day life. I understand it's probably not what you have in mind for the blog, but every once in a while maybe?! They're easier to relate to in a way :) Feel better soon!
Susan
Thanks Karen, will hopefully know shortly what to do with it.
Susan, thanks for your input. I know, but as you mentioned, this blog actually has the purpose of functioning as a glossy travel/sailing magazine rather than a "regular" blog. Sometimes we do update with low quality images from our life on our Twitter and Facebook.
