Goodbye Curaçao

20 knots of wind from the ENE and 78 miles to go to WNW. We averaged 170 nautical miles per day on our downwind crossing from Grenada to Bonaire so let's see how fast we'll make it this time. Hoping to arrive in Oranjenstad at least before sunset to avoid sketchy navigation through the channels in darkness. We always plan on arriving to new places and new countries in daylight but somehow we always seem to enter harbors and get into foreign anchorages when it's pitch black outside and that can sometimes be pretty nerve-racking. Our GPS is also a fairly unreliable unit (need a new one pronto) so we often rely only upon paper charts and eyeball navigation. The latter not so easy to do in complete darkness. At least we're up on time today..
