amazing place for a vacation ... but to "live your dream" here, it seems you need some serious budget ... bit expensive for a sailor like me...
Love reading your blog, beautiful photos! Just curious...who is taking the pictures of you and Alex together? Are you using a self-timer on the camera? All the shots are so beautifully posed...
Faithful reader from Kenya :) 'Karibuni' means welcome in Swahili, brought a smile to my face. Lovely photos as always :)

Fantastic photos! The villa looks lovely.
You are so gorgeous, a nice compliment to the beautiful scenery.
I've been to Bonaire two times now and I love it. Love to stay in a Piet Boon bungalow but unfortunately do not have that kind of budget... Lovely pictures...
I've been to Bonaire two times now and I really love it (especially under water). Budget for a stay in a Piet Boon bungalow is somewhat low.... who knows... someday....Lovely pictures....
Wow looks so nice!
Could there be a more beautiful place???
One word Taru: Amazing. <3
and for only 5,000 a week!
Anonymous: Believe me, Alex and I wouldn't be able to pay that fee ourselves, just the two of us, either. But if you'd travel with your family or a big bunch of friends, it does make sense to rent a house like this rather than staying in a small hotel room. And you will be able to save on it too as you cook most your meals at home rather than having to eat out each night. $5000 USD divided by 8 people is $625 USD per person for a week, which is a very good price for such luxury in my opinion.
Anonymous 2: Mostly with a tripod and wireless control, but sometimes friends assist us when they're around.
Wow, my favorite picture is the one with the sunset or sunrise.
Its beautiful!
Amazing photographs
Amazing photos! Beautiful...
I recently discovered your blog and I have to say that your photos are a delight and an inspiration! I hope one day to be able to travel the way you do. :)
Just love your photos. Just like in a magazine.
Josefine.
Alex and Taru-
As the very close, loving lady of our mutual friend Reg Bates, I wanted to attempt one more time to extend my hand in friendship to you both. Reg and I are making plans for the future, and he we look forward to seeing you both in Nov/Dec. I too, modeled for years doing both print and runway in the Dallas area. Now, I spend my time enjoying sailing, tennis and golf as I wind down my medical profession. The pictures of you are lovely Taru, but I would love to see more of Alex as well! Cheers to you both as you continue living your dream. I couldn't be happier than I am right now with RFB!!! He is loved most dearly and indeed, mutually...
Again, I look forward to fall when hopefully we can spend time as couples. Alex, I hear you work quite beautifully with your hands, and are quite wonderful with boat engineering projects!! My dad owned a fleet of trawlers in Corpus Christi. I grew up playing in the sea with him, fishing, shrimping, and of course sailing. We have much in common it seems....Jesse Fradkin is a mutual sailing friend on FB.. The world is indeed a small one! Especially the sailing/cruising community.
So here's offering you both a toast, to new friendships,
Love, and to Ancient Shore and distant music!!
With warmest regards,
