Looking Good Alex & T! loving the blog.
When you reach the tropical blue waters of the Caribbean (where I am at anchor right now) all of the work and turmoil will seem more than worth it.
Beautiful days, sunny and warm, the ocean is a perfect temperature for cooling dips.
And at night, a billion stars will keep you mesmerized as you relax together on the foredeck of your home sipping a glass of Pinot Noir or maybe a wildly flavoured rum and something.
I hope that these thoughts help to stir your imagination and fuel your dream.
All the best!
Jeff
Thanks for the encouragement Jeff. Can't wait to get to the Caribbean and have all these stressful days far behind us. We know it's all worth the hard work.
Quit those Marlboros.
Just wait until you feel the rhythm of the sea... flowing over your boat, coursing through you... enjoy the Sailomat... let it steer while ya'll play.. nothing like miles at sea to ease your tensions and play out of that cozy cabin... just watch for sneaky birds, turtles and dolphins coming for a peak when ya squeak!
All the bullshit dock work will fall far behind... focus on the critical maintenence... then you can do as the rest of us do... boat work in tropical places... hint: order the spares and parts now... or you'll sit in places like Bora Bora for two weeks waiting for a fuel pump ...
One hot cruising tip for ya... play with all your zippers regularly, and the ones on board weekly so they don't salt up and seize up (keep the zips not quite closed or not all the way open, then use pliers on the zip, not the tab on ones you forgot to give loving to that month).. and if your playing with zips, take some photos.. we won't peek.. much :)
