Goodbye Morocco
The dessert is enjoyed (my delicious nutella cheescake - will post the recipe here one day if you'd like to try it).
Be safe sailors!! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and I hope you have a quick, dry passage.
I've enjoyed your posts.
Have a good time!! I looked at the repair on the autopilot. There appears to be alot of leverage on the post from the flat metal bar. Next time I would make the metal bar wider to match the entire curve of the clamp on the post and then weld it. There is a lot of pressure in a small area and it may not hold but I hope it does.
The photos of the meals always look incredibly delicious. But. The portions always look so small!
I hope that is just for the photos and there is mountains left in the pot or pan.
Or not?
Hi Taru, Hi Alex,
a nice Ride ( Warm and Safe) to the Canaries and Merry Christmas from a frozen Ger.
Just back from the Canaries I go green with envy ;-)
Faire Winds M.
May Santa bring you Fair Winds and Following Seas for Christmas! Safe travels...
Merry Christmas for you both and all your blog readers.
I'm still not sure that your autopilot arm is strong enough, but I hope you have a good weather!
ok 15 years in the biz, I might suggest you pick up an extra, beefed up, AutoPilot Tiller Arm.. Look for a Edson Bronze one...It is over built, unlike yours which is scaring me a bit. ;)
Cheers,,, ( I know you didn't ask for the advise there ya have it!)
Nutella cheesecake?? DO Tell!!
Snowing big flakes here in Kansas City. Have a nice Christmas sail. Hope it is quick and dry to the Canaries.
Dear Alex & Taru,
to sit after a long Christmas Dinner (Fondue Munich Style) and think about: how are T&A doing now? is incredible. Your trip has occupied some time of our attention in the last months. Thank you, for that!
We hope you have a nice, warm christmas wind, that brings you safely to the canaries. We all are impressed about, what you are doing!
Merry christmas!

Thank you all wonderful people. We hope that you all have a lovely holiday!!
And to answer anonymous, yes, the portions are only this small for the photos, luckily! Alex would not manage with this little food, I'm sure.
Marry Christmas,
And for the love of god get that tiller arm beefed up, replaced or you will be hand steering across the Atlantic...
Weld a square tube to it or something. What you have now is flat taking side loading, it will flex and welds break when flexed repeatedly.
