Surge is correct, why dont you simply use surge protectors?
Yep a power surge is the correct term. You might look at acquiring some sort of surge protector.
On the bright sige, at least the surge only took out the charger and not the Mac as well. That would have really sucked.
"surge" - absolutely correct!
best of luck with the fixes. sounds like a nice dry run for the Atlantic - sorta like the first snow of the year that reminds you to clean up of your tools.
Vad skönt ni fick sova ut! Allt gåt så mkt lättare när man är utvilad.. Tråkigt dock att Alex blev dålig. Blir imponerad av er, ni tacklar alla problem på vägen tålmodigt!

Hi! I remember reading about a book you recomended and now I can't remember what the name of it was. I have no idea when it was but if you remember could you please tell me the name..? Or any other books on sailing around the world? Btw, love the blog. It's been so exciting reading since me and my boyfriend also live on a sailing boat here in bcn (in RCMB). I hope you're having the time of your life!

It is very expansive to connect to web through satellite. At sea under the open sky, computers and cable are all full of moisture, it is hard to connect for internet access.

Thank you Kent, I'll email him.
Hi there,
beautiful mingle reminds me to a good tip I had read somewhere: To put the electronics into the oven from time to time when it cools downs after making that wonderful bread or else. Have done it only before winter storage and it worked, sucked out all the damp behind screens and am sure it does more. Think about and smooth sailing!
