I do enjoy your blog very much and, as a sailor, am excited for you. Having just put our second daughter on a plane for Bilbao, Spain tonight for her semester abroad at Deusto, I can definitely understand the uneasiness of being away from something you love. On the other hand, it is very exciting to see your kids grow up and become adults.

Gin first, then wine, then whiskey and chocolate for dessert. Write that down!
You must se the movie The Reef when youre out sailing the ocean. A great movie from 2010.

You can download it from the bay or other places.
Anonymous 1: I can only imagine how that must feel, both the positive sides and the uneasiness. Sometimes I even think that I do not dare to get kids as I would be in a constant worry with which I will not be able to deal with. This world is so evil that I'm not sure if I ever will have the guts to put another human being onto it.
Baydog: Oh Gin is too much for me. I haven't learned to drink that bitterness yet. I'll stick to wine and whiskey! (and maybe a shot of Tequila if I have the chance).
Anonymous: Just downloaded the Reef. Thanks for tips!
