Taru,
Is taking care of Visa/Passports/Paperwork/Customs a nightmare every time you enter a country? Do you do anything in advance?
Oh Martinique! I was able to visit back in 2007 and I miss it so much. Enjoy some pain au chocolat for me!
Tom: In the Caribbean we have been pleasantly surprised so far. Very easy clearance and they have all been very easygoing and friendly. In Martinique you don't even have to meet a real immigration or customs officer, you just type in your info, passport number etc in a computer and print out your clearance info. The most difficult procedure must have been in Morocco where everything took hours, drug dogs had to board the boat, they searched through everything and asked a lot of weird questions, but other than that, no - we've been lucky with simple customs procedures. No we don't do much in advance, just having all the papers ready on hand when we arrive to a new country.
