This brought back a long-lost memory. My wife and I were chartering in the BVI almost 30 years ago. We had a captain for a couple of days. We stopped on Virgin Gorda and walked into town to get some rum. The captain suggested, in his accent, what I heard as "Monkey" rum. I'd never heard of it, but thought "OK, he lives here. He should know his rum". So I'm in the store looking at all the rum going "Monkey, Monkey, ..." over and over again, when it hit me ... "Monkey is Mount Gay". Bought a couple of bottles and now drink no other rum. Enjoy! Thought not as exciting, we are heading off with our youngest on a sailing trip for the week in Lake Michigan with plenty of Mount Gay.
