Glad to be where we are

Haven't watched TV nor followed the news since we left Barcelona in October last year which has only been a good thing, glad to have been able to (almost) completely disconnect from the corrupt world outside. Listened to the radio first time in twelve months today and got almost depressed by the actual state of the world we live in. Seriously, what is going on out there? Must say we are more glad than ever to be away from it all. Couldn't have chosen a better time for our escape.

TT said...: No we haven't followed the news on the Internet particularly much, just very briefly but having the opportunity to listen to it all at the same prime time on the news on the radio yesterday was overwhelming.

The world outside is sadder than ever, so our decision to cut the outside off for a while feels like the right choice.

This journey is our way to disconnect from the normal for a couple of years and enjoy only the natural, beautiful of life and a way to do so to the max, is to cut out necessary pressure/obstacles/influence - following the regular depressive news is one.

I believe that our world is quite a corrupt and destructive place and here on the oceans we do not have to live in that world to the same extent. Very relieving and liberating.; October 26, 2011 at 6:58 AM

Blair said...: for someone who is so against corrupt politics and politicians, dont you think some of your money would be better spent helping to make the world a better place for EVERYONE instead of just using spending your money (which was earned in that corrupt world and probably enabled by a few corrupt politicians) to selfishly check out for a year?
