Hello Taru and Alex,
As i type this i have finally caught up with your blog. I Started about 2 months ago reading about a page or so of blog posts a day while im at work to distract myself from winter and think about sailing again this summer season. I would like to say thank you for making such a wonderful blog, it has really been a lot of fun reading it and i look forward to following your future adventures. Hopefully one day i can jump on a boat and do a little bit of world exploration myself. I liked your photos from Morocco and Antigua, so maybe there.
To tell you a bit about myself, name is Warren im 23 and i work with data and analytics in Chicago, IL. I grew up sailing with my dad on a 28 foot hunter and this year ill be doing some intense training single handing the boat as much as i can, and logging some hours to put towards a captains license.
Thanks again both of you for all the great reading and photos. I realize Alex has very little time and does a lot of work, but i love reading about all of his custom boat projects, especially his semi-recent carbon fiber project. If there is any work to be done with the diesel engine on Duende id love to hear about it! I worked with old muscle cars when i was younger so i know carburetor gasoline engines, but i don't know very much about diesel.
That place looks amazing Taru. You guys totally live the dream. I reckon it's hard work with the boat and all but I admire you both for choosing your own path in life like you do.
Best regards from sunny Sweden,
Ann
Taru and Alex,
Your photos and words definitely brighten up a gray Montana day! My fiance and I are on the brink of jumping off for a year+ sailing lifestyle in the Sea of Cortez in a few months. Thanks for providing even more inspiration!
