What I use

Many of you have asked what are my beauty routines on the boat. Most of the products that I use that you can see above, are things I've used for many years. I've always been frugal with makeup so not much has changed since I moved from land to a boat but these are the things that I find essential for myself:

Jean Paul Gaultier's perfume Fragile. I've had this for as long as I remember, occasionally replaced it with something else, but I always come back to the fact that this is the fragrance for me. It's not in production any longer so pretty hard to find these days if you haven't stocked up that is.

Chanel's No 5, rarely used as it is a bit too heavy in my humble opinion, but I'd add one tiny spray of it on top of my regular perfume when I am in that type of mood or for an exciting occasion.

Kiehl's Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion creme. Amazing cleanser that should be used only a few times per week. It consists of micronized small shells that cleanses the skin and its pores very properly. Skin feels amazing, though a bit red to begin with, after a treatment.

Estée Lauder's Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme. This is an amazingly moisturizing facial creme which is a great remedy for a bit dry or normal/mixed skin. Perfect for my lifestyle when spending much time in saltwater and sun. It isn't greasy the least bit so it doesn't clog up the pores either, which me with partly oily skin must beware of. It's light but moist if you know what I mean. I don't use facial creme everyday as I mostly have my normal sun protection on, but when I'm dry or a bit burnt in the evening, this is the way I'd go.

Dove alcohol free powder deodorant. Could be any alcohol free dry powder deodorant really, as long as it functions well in the heat.

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Lip Creme. It has spf 15 so could work well in the sun too, although I prefer something with spf 40 or 50 when spending all days on the beach or while sailing. This eight hour creme is good for nights, after swim or beach or basically anytime when not in direct sunlight for a longer period of time. Super moisturizing as all eight hour creme products by EA.

Chanel's nail polish. I don't use much nail polish lately but when I do I have a collection of these onboard. Preferably clear or light pink during summer.

Chanel Soleil tan de Chanel. A four facette bronzing powder for nighttime. I love this shit.

Chanel Poudre Universielle Libre, natural finish loose powder. Used only on absolute rare occasions nowadays, but great to have when shooting photos for the blog to give a matte skin, or nighttime when skin is oily and you look for as perfect result as possible.

YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara black. No I don't use waterproof mascara as I'm too lazy to wash it off with oily products. I rather use only water and a mild soap to wash my face in the night.

There's also an eyeshadow trio from Clinique in use every now and then, the palette I have is called totally neutral with light brownish tones. Suits me well nighttime and one of the tones are great to use with a brush to enhance the color of my eyebrows.

I also use a few sunblocks, body lotions and hair products which I will show you in another post.
