Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Were you towing it, or did they actually take it off your boat? Either way, it's a shame but I like your perspective. Hope you're able to get a new one soon!
Hi,
Been following you folks since you were still on the MED. Not trying to dampen your perspective on anything but I believe you will find the dingy and outboard even more attractive the further south you go. A fellow Canadian lost his life when he was on the hook in Roatan. He interupted them. You should learn how to trade/barter and buy fish from the locals when they come by. More pics of ... not Taru the inside of boat!
Oh yes ... I'm jealous.

Love this picture. Did you take this from the dinghy before it was stolen? Shame about the dingy though...
it's just not fair, is it ? in the good old days, if someone stole your horse they would be strung up in the nearest tree !!,,i guess we are more compassionate now and wish and hope they need it more than us,, someone stole our oars last year,,not a nice feelling but like you say,,,"swimming is good for you"...beautiful twilight, reminds me of Tonga. cheers 'different drum'
Make sure you check up and down the shore as far as you can. It is common for the thieves to prefer the motor to the hull. Motors are much esier to sell.
What a shit.
It's unbelievable. Everywhere, it's the same story.
I bought a hard keel dinghy (aluminum) from3D Marine.
They do some with special rubber for tropics.
Try to send an Email to the boss, Olivier.

It sucks... our beautiful Carib dinghy was only one year old: http://sailingaroundtheglobe.blogspot.com/2011/11/dinghy.html
Let's see how quick our insurance can help us, should hear from them after the weekend.
Have borrowed a local friends old dinghy in the meanwhile that we can use while in St Vincent. Shall see if we can trade it against something as we need to get going shortly and would be great to not have to swim to shore on Mustique as well..
Photo is from Marie Galante btw, beautiful place.
Yep, our dinghy got stolen exactly in the same place. According to the police they are more interested in the outboard, so always take it off and lock it away. Dinghy needs to go on the deck. People in SVG are very nice but unfortunately there's some bad guys too.
Oh nooooo what jerks. Karma will get them.
