Were cruising around the reefs with the dinghy today when this large bar jack jumped on the hook. The lure was the same neon blue color as the characteristic blue stripe of the fish itself. Great catch but unfortunately it's common that this sort of fish carries the ciguatera toxin so we threw him back into the ocean. Would have loved to prepare a fish in the oven tonight so hoping my baby can catch another species by sunset.
