It would be interesting to know what your long term plans are that you mention Taru, but I think that the lure of a life with more definite outcomes may have won over the wanderlust of the cruising life. But hey, no one but the most boring individuals stick to a lifelong plan. The real way to get the most out of life is to enjoy what one is doing at the time and not to plan too far ahead.
Now then, a couple of points of interest. Which Taru in the mirror shot is the real one? My guess is the one on the right of the pic. The other thing is that you have a very distinctive face on your elbows!! Check it out, you'll see what I mean.
Being able to master a handstand is one of my goals for this year, I've never been able to do them, but I can totally empathise on the longing for warm sunshine to practise in. Whilst we were away I got up early most mornings to do my sun salutations as the sun warmed and headed to the beach as often as I could.

Wow. Impressive. I've been living in Bali for the last month and a half and I've been trying to give yoga a second chance, since in Bali I think it's practically heretical to dislike yoga. I love my running and sweating and weight-lifting. I feel that yoga could add another element to my fitness, but I can't say I exactly love it yet. It is, however, forcing me to appreciate another aspect of the human body - the flexibility and the suppleness, which I don't have :-) So I will persevere for now... perhaps in a few years I can do a handstand without risk of injury.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Accept the place you are in now and make the best of it. Only with patience and endurance comes progress, both in yoga and in life.. :)
