Congratulations on embarking on a new chapter in your lives. Completely understandable and you have summized your present state very well. While indeed the US may not be "ideal" in regards to living out your dream destination, opportunities are definitely here for the talented and motivated. As a US resident I am glad you guys have chosen to spend an extended stay here and we wish for you and Alex success in your respective and combined adventures. Will be looking forward to your blog updates.
Hello Taru,
we're foreigners staying in the US on our boat as well. We also need some additional income. What did you do for work Visas?
Thanks for your time and I'll look forward to your reply.
Regards,
Lorry
Hi Taru! I've been reading your blog since spring 2013...we actually moved to Boston at the same time one year ago, and reading your complains about the New England weather always makes me smile...I'm so scared to face another winter here!Hopefully this winter is gonna be better :)
I find your posts very inspiring and this time even more....I've always been that kind of person who's always looking for something, never satisfied. That's why I moved here one here ago....in year this year many things happened, I grew up professionally and as a person, and I found love :) but I also realized how rich I was in my homecountry in terms of family, friends and also work. I realized that after all, what I used to have was very precious, I had almost everything to be satisfied but I wasn't. My american experience is almost at the end, I'm glad I came here not only because I found my soulmate but also because I know that when I'll go back home this time I will realize that I will be exactly "right where I am supposed to be".
Good luck to you and Alex with your new projects!
sorry, my dear, i meant cheers NOT chears! ;-)
thx wolves
What you are doing is what my wife and Ia re doing now too. Taking a break from cruising to build back up the savings, like you say, money is a necessary evil, but it's not everything. It sounds like you've found a nice community and niche, even if it's not the perfect place right now. Best of luck!
Lorry, check if you have the possibilities to get a H, E or O visa, we have the O variety.
Lucia: So nice to hear you've found love here :) I hear you, I have realized so many times over how much I love and miss my home countries, family and friends. So glad to have been away for so long though, because it taught just how important certain things and people are, and you learn to appreciate it all so much more. It will be so wonderful for you to return back home. But also to return here some day perhaps, as you have probably made this part of the world a place in your heart as well.
Thanks Wolves for the links!
Congrats on finding your food GMO product and ideas. My only wish is that you would give America a better wrap! You are living here, NOT PAYING TAXES, yet are taking advantages of all America ofers....FREEDOM and OPPORTUNITY....yet you cut up on America. I would say you can do this if.....YOU PAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH CARE, PAY YOUR TAXES, and CONTRIBUTE to AMERICA, not just take and use America.
