Atlantic crossing - day 20

Must say that we're quite bored and restless here right now. We're dreaming of our new existence in the Caribbean and can't wait to arrive to begin our new life over there. This rolling and bouncing and surfing and the constant change of blue and grey tones around your world can't be good for no humans brain for an extended period of time and it is remarkable how much things from ones past episodes of life comes knocking on the door when cut off from the civilization like this. This journey has definitely been better and more fulfilling than any therapy session in the world, for both of us. Jesus.

Anonymous said...: It sounds as though Taru is a grouchy girl today! A long passage like you and Alex are on now is very tiring.

Perhaps you guys are not eating well. Nothing cheers me up like a good meal on a long passage. Preparing meals when it is a bit rough is a big challenge.

I would like to hear how you manage? I will look for photos of your galley. Do you use a strap to hold you in while at the oven? Or is Alex feeding you his leftover corned beef from a can?

I remember the thoughts and the rolling while we sailed on the Brazilian coast. But we had only two days straight to Abrollhos...so compare to 17 days..hmm..I definetly understand your scientific questions. I do loved the night sailing.
