Soon to be something wonderful
Also, best flea markets in Miami/South Florida?
So excited for you and the new cafe! Congrats ! Where are those amazing pants from by the way??
Thank you! I honestly don't know where the pants are from. They were given to me some time back. It's some sort of linen blend, super comfortable.
Forget tiles or timber. Strip the current flooring down to its bare concrete surface and polish it. Sounds nuts but its perfect for what you need. I have done this in both my stores and it looks great. Easy to clean, cheap and you can have any look/feel you want. I had professionals do mine but you may be able to do it yourself with some googling. Just google "stained concrete" to see what I mean. Good luck and I pray that your new venture doesnt take you away from the sea .

Those are traditionally made with old techniques in Mallorca with very nice designs by Sybilla, the best spanish fashion designer after Balenciaga.

Girl, you just hit the ground running! Good for you for going after your dream - this is fantastic news! When you get it finished, we'll be eating there for sure! Congratulations!
Hoping this isn't a flash in the pan. You've got some great ideas, I'm pretty sure the weather won't be working against you this time though. Fingers crossed for you.
Congrats!! Can't wait to see photos of a finished restaurant and full of people enjoying their meal.
Great news! follow your passions, they will always keep you happy when things get tough. have you come up with a name for it yet?
If I might suggest one, how about calling it the "Twisted Banana" ?
we wish you luck!

I live one state up, so i'll def stop by when its up and running!
How exciting - good for you! I'm sure your restaurant will be a huge success! :-)
I was hoping you would have a meet and greet for your blog followers while you were here in South Florida
I will definitely be a customer at your restaurant.
Please announce when it opens and the location.
Ever since I "swallowed the anchor" gave up cruising, and moved ashore, I have enjoyed your blog.
I look forward to meeting you at the cafe
Hi Taru- Your blog has inspired me in so many positive ways-thank you. I am a decorative painter and designer in Maryland and would love to chat with you about your new project and the possibility of offering my services (pro bono). I travel to Florida often and especially love Miami. Oh, and I especially love your tile selection, sailing and good food!
Best of luck!
